Scalone Palazzo Almerici

This palazzo is one of the most important 18th. century buildings in Pesaro. It boasts a great portal, a marble stairway, stuccowork, cycles of narrative paintings, a large courtyard (with an elegant gallery) round the walls of which are exhibits of antique and archaeological interest. Many of the rooms have hip roofs of white stucco work and walls with pilasters. In two rooms on the piano nobile are tempera paintings by Carlo Paolucci of Urbino, one of Giannandrea Lazzarini’s best pupils. The building has been the home of the Musei Oliveriani since July 31st. 1892.
