What to see

The city of Pesaro has ancient cultural traditions. The historic and artistic heritage is important and multifaceted, comprising museums and libraries, churches and theatres, villas, monuments and noble palazzi. It can indeed be said that such are the places that give Pesaro its very identity: they are  the places of civilised life, conferring on the urban ‘form’ a positive connotation, they contain what is permanent - such as the museums - and varying temporary events: exhibitions, concerts, theatrical performances, meetings, itineraries. In the section ‘What to see’ are places which merit attention not so much as locations for events or as institutions, but rather as buildings of artistic and architectural value, a vital part of the image and history of the city.
